🐶 Today is #PetFireSafetyDay, a great opportunity to emphasize the importance of keeping our pets safe from potential fire hazards.
Here are some essential tips to help ensure the safety of our furry friends in the event of a fire emergency.
🐾 Consider installing monitored smoke detectors to receive an alert when you are not home.
🐾 Secure hazards out of paws' reach, especially electrical wires and stove-top knobs.
🐾 Make sure your pet is microchipped or wearing a collar with up-to-date contact information.
🐾 Keep pets near an entrance door where fire fighters can easily get to them.
🐾 Affix a pet alert decal on the door or window of your home.
